The 692 coaches will do their best to match you with a good partner for tournaments, but in the end it is your choice and your responsibility to find a partner for yourself. Since 2010, the age divisions have been similar to indoor volleyball, with the exception that beach only uses 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U. They are also largely associated to graduation year: with club vs club and BVCA events solely focused on grad year.

USA Volleyball and International Tournaments (FIVB) have different age groups, but are still on a 2 year cycle, with U11, U13, U15, U17, U19, U21, and U23.
The uniform in beach volleyball maintains a large variety. Juniors beach players wear anything from bathing suits to shorts and a t-shirt, to leggings and sweatshirts in colder seasons. 692 requires all of our players to wear our gear during competitions, but, they can wear anything they want to practice. Our National Team has specified jerseys that they wear at events as well.
In most cases, YES! Beach volleyball at the highest levels is played regardless of rain, and fairly regardless of other extreme weather conditions. We like to prepare our players to play at the highest level, so unless there are pretty extreme circumstances, we will not cancel practice. If there is a day that we choose to cancel for weather, we will post it on our social media accounts.
Yes! We train our players at 692 in the same way that we train professional and college players and in the same way that our coaches have trained over the years. When you are at a tournament, it is up to you how seriously you want to take it, but most of our players are pretty serious about the sport.
If your goal is to play both indoor and beach in college, it is absolutely possible to do so. However, playing both can make it hard to specialize and continue to elevate when gaining maturity and skill in the sport. There are players in the NCAA who play both, but it is much more rare to find now than 5 years ago, as beach players are specializing and improving at a rate higher than ever before.
